This is the real and personal story
behind the Queen phenomenon. One of the

This premium edition brings together the classic albums
The making of A Night At The Opera DVD and the
30 th anniversary edition DVD.The Making Of tells the
story behind the conception and recording of the remarkable
album and the dramatic transformation in
Queen's career that took place following its release by use of
interviews with the band, the producer and special guests
plus acoustic performances and archive footage.

The 30th Anniversary disc has the entire original studio album
remixed into DTS surround sound and PCM stereo with the
original videos for Bohemian Rhapsody and You're My Best Friend
along with newly created visuals for all the other songs and a
commentary on each track made up from archive
interviews with all four members of the band.

The Making Of Bohemian Rhapsody

Queen make their first video for Bohemian Rhapsody
The video costs just 4,500 pounds but is still revolutionary.
It is regarded as the first promotional film, as it was
recorded on video tape rather than proper film.
On the 31st October Bohemian Rhapsody is released.
It is the first UK Queen single to be given a picture cover.
The song took Britain by storm, and on November 25th
reached the number one position and staying there for nine weeks.
Radio play for the single had been an issue due to its lenght,
however none of the radio stations edited it. Queen were helped
by a friend of theirs, a DJ called Kenny Everett.
Freddie and Kenny become friends when Freddie had agreed
to be on Kenny's radio show. Queen gave a test pressing
for Bohemian Rhapsody to Kenny - With strict instructions
not to play it. Kenny wasn't very good of self denial
and played it anyway - reputedly fourteen times in two days.

Bohemian Champions opens with Freddie Mercury
relaxed and chatting about his perception of Queen's music,
looking like the true English gentleman that he was,
followed by another interview where he discusses the band.
There is then a press release statement about his death from
AIDS at 45 plus obituary statements on screen from Bowie,
George Michael and Phil Collins. From then on,
Freddie speaks out regarding his lyrics and the
band members. Afterwards, we see a very rare piece
where Freddie seems a bit intoxicated and he is dissing Queen,
although not in a truly bad way.
This is followed by Roger May and Brian May talking
very openly about Freddie's death.

FLASH GORDON

In this update of the 1930's comic strip,
Flash is a football hero who is skyjacked
aboard Dr. Zarkov's rocketship along with
beautiful Dale Arden. The threesome are
drawn into the influence of the planet Mongo,
controlled by Ming the Merciless. Ming has
been testing the Earth with unnatural disasters,
and deeming it a threat to his rule, he plans
to destroy it. He also intends to take Dale as
his concubine. Flash must avoid the amorous
attentions of Ming's daughter and unite the
warring kingdoms of Mongo to rescue Dale and
save our world.

IRON EAGLE
When Doug's father, an Air Force Pilot,
is shot down by MiGs belonging to a
radical Middle Eastern state, no one
seems able to get him out. Doug finds
Chappy, an Air Force Colonel who is
intrigued by the idea of sending in
two fighters piloted by himself and
Doug to rescue Doug's father after
bombing the MiG base. Their only
problems: Borrowing two fighters,
getting them from California to the
Mediteranean without anyone noticing,
and Doug's inability to hit anything
unless he has music playing.
Then come the minor problems
of the state's air defenses.
